This conference invites people from different walks of life, who share a common vision towards the implementation of sustainable processes for the management of environmental hazards. It will provide a platform for discussion on issues that are prevalent in the field of applied energy and environmental research.
The focus will be on the research studies and findings that can have a 'Lab to Field' approach. We believe that the findings of research studies should be motivated to go for a market application. This can solve the day-to-day problems that are faced by people of industrial background, wastewater treatment managers, energy suppliers, environmental activists etc.
This will be an on-ground conference held at the Chemical Engineering Department, SVNIT, Surat, Gujarat. The organisers are working in the field of the 'Energy and Environmental Management' sector for the past decade. They share a common thought process for the development of 'solution-oriented research'.
The conference is organised to gather like-minded people of academic and industrial origin who can share their views regarding advances in sustainable research for energy and environmental management.

About SVNIT
Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat known as SVNIT - Surat was set up with the objective to provide high quality technical education to meet the needs of the Nation in the present competitive world. This Institute was established in 1961 for imparting technical education in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
The UG program in Chemical Engineering started in the year 1995-96. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, the Central Government, on the advice of the University Grants Commission, has declared the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVREC), Surat as Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat with status of "Deemed University" with effect from 4th December 2002.
The Institute has been granted the status of 'Institute of National Importance' w.e.f. Aug.15, 2007.
About ChED, SVNIT
The Chemical Engineering Department of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat was started in 1995-96. As a separate Department, its potential has been recognized as a rich resource of well trained Chemical Engineers. It is today one of the premier Departments of this college. The Department has built up a comprehensive research infrastructure with top-notch facilities for carrying cutting-edge teaching and research.
Constant efforts are being put up to make this department to be ranked as one of the best in India within the next few years. The Department strives to provide graduate students with facilities and an environment that are conducive for creative and dynamic work. Chemical Engineering is the most sought after branch in the state of Gujarat.
